Kalpataru Projects Wins Orders Worth Rs 2,025 Crore, FY27 Order Intake Nears Rs 13,220 Crore
Engineering and construction major Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) told stock exchanges on Thursday that it has secured new orders and notifications of award worth approximately Rs 2,025 crore, adding to a pipeline that already spans multiple continents and business lines.
The fresh wins cut across three of the company's core segments: power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, and oil and gas infrastructure. KPIL said the orders were secured across both its domestic and international markets, and described them as part of the normal course of business rather than a one-off large contract.
Order Book Nears Half Of Annual Target
With this latest addition, KPIL's order intake for the current financial year has climbed to Rs 13,219 crore, putting the company within striking distance of the halfway mark toward the Rs 30,000-crore order-inflow target it set for FY27 back in May. That target was announced alongside plans to diversify further into newer segments such as solar and nuclear EPC work, areas the company has been positioning itself to capture as India ramps up clean energy and power infrastructure spending.
Beyond the confirmed wins, KPIL said it is favourably placed, or ranked L1, for orders worth more than Rs 12,000 crore that are yet to be finalised, giving management visibility into a healthy pipeline for the rest of the year even before accounting for future bids.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Manish Mohnot said the company was pleased with the latest wins across its transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, and oil and gas businesses, adding that the diversified nature of the orders reflected both KPIL's technical capabilities and the confidence clients continue to place in its execution track record.
Strong Financial Backdrop
The new orders arrive against the backdrop of a solid FY26 for the company. KPIL closed the last financial year with an order book of Rs 65,457 crore, after annual order inflows of Rs 26,400 crore. Consolidated revenue for FY26 came in at Rs 27,143 crore, up from Rs 22,316 crore a year earlier, while consolidated profit nearly doubled to Rs 1,031 crore from Rs 567 crore in FY25.
KPIL currently has more than 250 projects under execution spread across over 30 countries, with a presence that extends well beyond its traditional transmission and distribution roots into buildings and factories, water infrastructure, railways, oil and gas pipelines, urban mobility, highways and airports. That diversification has increasingly insulated the company from slowdowns in any single vertical, allowing it to keep adding to its order book even as different segments of India's infrastructure spending cycle move at different paces.
For a company that has built its recent growth story around steadily expanding its addressable market, Thursday's order announcement is less a single headline win than another data point confirming that its diversification strategy continues to deliver a steady stream of new business across geographies and sectors.
